30th May 2011 The monthly Club meeting is this Friday 3rd June at 9.00PM. The Junior team had a comprehensive victory over Easkey at home last Friday on a scoreline of 0-15 to 1-5. The team was: Nigel Hargadon, Niall Brennan, Diarmuid Jinks, Padraig Jinks, Kevin Barry, Noel Jinks, Shane Barry, Peter Henry, Eoin McDermott, Brian Boyd, Enda Foley (0-2), Eoin O'Connell (0-1), Donal Carroll (0-3), Declan Loughnane (0-2), David Quinn (0-7). Subs: Johnny Quinn for Enda Foley, Ciaran O'Connor for Donal Carroll, Robbie Johnston for Brian Boyd, Andrew Nealon for Eoin O'Connell. The club wish to welcome Declan Loughnane to the Club - he lined out for his first game last Friday scoring two points. The Juniors next game is away to Castleconnor on 18th June. The Senior game against Tubbercurry was postponed as a mark of respect for the late Nance Higgins. The Seniors are away to St Marys this Sunday 5th June at 2.30PM in the league while the Championship gets underway the following weekend with the opener against Eastern Harps. The U14 team play in the Div 1 League semi-final this Friday in Shamrock Gaels Park against Tourlestrane - please come out and support. The U14 - 11-a-side team are at home to Ballymote on the Bank Holiday Monday 6th June at 7.00PM. The U14 Girls lost to Ballymote last Wednesday. The team was: Eilis O'Connor, Laura Johnston, Sarah Markham, Mairead Tuohy, Lousie Merrick, Chloe Merrick, Aisling Devaney, Rachel Higgins, Joanne Johnston, Roisin Kearns (0-1), Rachel Boyd (0-1), Sinead Flynn, Sinead McGovern. They are away to Coolera this Wednesday at 7.00PM. The U12 Girls are away to Ballymote on the Bank holiday Monday 6th June at 7.00PM. Well done to the U12 Div 1a team who had a great 0-26 to 0-24 win over Ballymote last Thursday having been well behind at half time. The U12 Div 2B team had a great 0-21 to 0-5 win also over Ballymote. Both teams are away to St Marys this Tuesday at 7.00PM. The club wish to express sympathy with the family and relatives of Nance Higgins, Knocknacross, Riverstown who died at the weekend and also to Mrs Gretta Quinn and the Quinn family on the death of Gretta's brother John Lyons, Ballymote. The Club also wish to express sympathy with Mrs Mary Quinn, Letterkenny on the death of her mother Maura O'Doherty, Letterkenny.
