The Seniors were defeated in the quarter-final of the Leo Kenny Cup at Shamrock Gaels Park on Tuesday evening. Despite the Gaels being just two points down at half-time, a flurry of points and three goals in the second half saw Tourlestrane run out deserved winners on a scoreline of 4-17 to 0-11. The team was: Nigel Hargadon, Colin Harte, Keith Mc Morrow, Shane Barry, John Craig, Niall Henry, Niall Craig (0-1), Liam O'Connell (0-1), Paul Brennan (0-1),Brian Boyd, Vinnie Boyd, Mark Touhy (0-2), Joe Quinn (0-3), David Quinn (0-3),Kevin Barry. Subs: Niall Brennan for J Craig, Ciaran O'Connor for B Boyd, Brian Mc Dermott for K Barry, Donal Carroll for C Harte. Many thanks to those who organised the provision of refreshments after the match.

In Round 7 of the Senior League, we drew with Eastern Harps on Saturday evening last at Shamrock Gaels Park on a scoreline of 1-6 to 0-9. The team was; Nigel Hargadon, Colin Harte, James Lyons, Shane Barry, Paul Brennan, Niall Henry, Derrick Davey (0-1), Liam O'Connell (0-1), Paul Higgins, Keith Mc Morrow (0-1), Vinnie Boyd, Mark Tuohy, Paddy O'Grady, David Quinn, Joe Quinn (1-2). Subs; Kevin Barry (0-1) for D Quinn. Congratulations to Mark Touhy, who has been appointed Senior Captain and to Keith Mc Morrow who has been appointed Vice-Captain.

The Juniors suffered an angonising one point defeat in an action packed encounter in difficult conditions at Dromard on Sunday in Round 5 against St. Patrick's. Five points up as the game entered its final minutes, the Gaels conceded two late goals to lose on a scoreline of 3-7 to 3-8. The team was; David Quinn, Shane Barry, Diarmiud Jinks, Niall Brennan, Sean O'Connell, Noel Jinks, Niall Craig, Peter Henry (0-3), Paul Brennan, Kevin Barry (0-2), Enda Tuohy, Brian Mc Dermott (0-1), Donal Carroll (3-1), Eoin O'Connell, Andrew Nealon. Subs; Padraig Cassidy for A Nealon, Ciaran O'Connor for E O'Connell.

The Juniors are away to Geevagh this friday at 7.30PM.

The under 12 girls were beaten by St Mary’s on Monday week last in Shamrock Gaels Park, the team was:- Aoife Morrisroe, Mikaela McLoughlin, Sheona Leydon, Jane Benson, Louise Merrick (0–1), Jade Lyons, Mairead Tuohy (0–1), Rachel Boyd, Sarah Walsh (0-1), Roisin Kearns (0–1), Lisa Callaghan, Maebh McDermott (0–1), Aine Brennan, subs Kate Buckley, Katy McCann and Eba McCann.

The under 16 girls team were beaten by a single point by St Pat’s on Wednesday last in the League Final played in St Pat’s. The team was:- Aoife O’Connor, Catherine Collery, Rachel Higgins, Stacy Muldowney, Clare Benson, Aoife Brennan (0–2), Sonia McDermott (0–1), Aisling Boyd (0–1), Ciara Brennan (0–1), Áine O’Connell (1–1) and Naomh Quinn (1-0). subs Laura Johnston, Aisling Devaney and Joanne Johnston.

The Boys U14 11 a side team are away to Tubbercurry this Friday while the U14 Div 1 Team are away to Calry on Sunday 22nd at 11.00AM.

Best of luck to Sligo and Frank Quinn against Leitrim on Sunday. Tickets go on sale in the clubhouse on Thursday at 7pm. Unreserved Stand €30, Terrace €20, Children (U16) Terrace €5. Students can get a refund of €10 on Terrace tickets from designated stile. OAP's can get a refund of €10 on Stand or Terraced tickets from designated stile.

There will be a general clean-up of the Club grounds as well as various odd-jobs around the clubhouse on Wednesday 25th May at 7pm. All committee members and anybody else who would like to help are asked to attend.

The club wish to express sympathy with Kathleen Feeney, Sooey on the death of her father John James Brady, Cavan. The club also wish to express sympathy with the family and relatives of Paddy Brennan, Riverstown who died recently.
