The Shamrock Gaels annual Golf outing is just two weeks away and tee times are filling up. If you have not booked yours please contact Eugene Carroll on 087 2216477. It is on Saturday 21st May in Castle Dargan Golf Club - this is the day before Sligo take on Leitrim in the Championship - why not make a weekend of it.

The monthly club meeting takes place this Friday 13th May at 9.00PM in the Clubhouse - all committee members are asked to attend.

The Seniors are at home to Tourlestrane this Tuesday in the quarter final of the Leo Kenny Cup at 7.30PM - they take on Eastern Harps at home in the league next Saturday at 7.30PM.

The Juniors play St Pats away next Sunday at 2.30PM in the league.

Last Monday the U16 Boys team had a fine away win against Bunanadden. The Gaels adapted best to the strong cross wind and were well in control at half time. In the second half the Gaels continued their dominance and ran out comfortable winners on a scoreline of 5-14 to 1-3. The team was; Conor Carroll, John Og Conlon (0-1), Cathal McDermott, Ryan McKenna, Brian Candon, Eoin Carroll (2-2), Liam Tuohy (0-4), Michael Kilkenny(0-5), Daniel Willis (2-2), Adrian Whelan, Stephen Scanlon (1-0) Subs: Sean Quigley and Daniel Baker.

The U16's take on Drumcliffe/Rosses Point in the Final of the C League next Monday 16th May at 8.00PM in Kent Park.

The U16 Girls were beaten by St Pat’s last Monday, the team was:- Aoife O’Connor, Catherine Collery, Laura Johnston, Clare Benson, Rachel Higgins, Aoife Brennan (0–2), Sonia McDermott (1–0), Áine O’Connell (1–3), Aisling Boyd (0–1), Ciara Brennan (1–0) and Naomh Quinn (2–2). On Wednesday evening they defeated Ballymote to qualify for the League Final. The team was Aoife O’Connor, Catherine Collery, Rachel Higgins, Stacy Muldowney, Clare Benson, Aoife Brennan(2–6), Sonia McDermott (0–1), Áine O’Connell (2–1), Aisling Boyd (0–1), Ciara Brennan (2–1) , Naomh Quinn (0-1), subs used Laura Johnston, Aisling Devaney and Joanne Johnston. They play St Pats in the final this Wednesday evening in Dromard at 7 p.m.. Please come out and support the team.

The U14 Boys 11a side team lost on a scoreline of 0-15 to 0-10 against St Michaels last Wednesday. The team was: Conal McCormack, Conor Heffernan, Paul Harrington, Mark Collery, Paul Higgins, Alan Kelly, Caolan McCann (0-5), Enda O'Connell (0-1), Stephen Bagnal, Ciarain Kilfeather (0-2), Daire Kearns, Luke Flynn (0-1), William Healy. Subs Used: Mark Keegan (0-1), Daragh Hailstones, Daniel Baker, Mark Callaghan, Cathal McNulty.

The U14 Division 1 team are away to Calry/St Josephs this Friday 13th at 7.30PM.

The Girls U12 team lost to St Nathys last Monday. The team was: Aoife Morrisroe, Machala McLoughlin, Sheona Leyden, Jade Lyons, Lousie Merrick, Aine Brennan, Rachel Boyd (0-1), Mairead Tuohy (0-1), Roisin Kearns, Sarah Walsh, Maeve McDermott, Aine Kearns, Leah Monaghan.

The club wish to express sympathy with the family and relatives of Seamus McTiernan, Drumnasooey, Gleann and Tony O'Reilly, Drumnacool who died last week.
