Club wish to express sympathy with Club Chairman Vincent Henry and all
of the Henry family and relatives on the death of his mother Anne last
week - Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam. The senior team's poor run in the Championship continued last Sunday when they lost to Coolera/Strandhill on a scoreline of 1-17 to 0-8.The team was: Nigel Hargadon, Shane Barry, Keith Mc Morrow, Paul Brennan, Eoin O'Connell, James Lyons, Derrick Davey, Liam O'Connell (0-1), Paul Higgins, Paddy O'Grady (0-2), Frank Quinn (0-3), Mark Tuohy, Vinny Boyd (0-2), Jarlath Lyons, Kevin Barry. Subs; David Quinn for N Hargadon (inj), Niall Henry for E O'Connell, Ciaran O'Connor for L O'Connell, Johnny Quinn for M Tuohy, Sean O'Connell for F Quinn (inj). The Minors are away to St Johns in the Championship this Thursday 5th at 7.00PM while the U16's are at home to Bunninadden in the Championship Shield semi-final next Monday 8th at 7.00PM. Congratulations to the Riverstown u-13 girls Rounders team who won gold medals in the Connaught Community Games finals last week. Congrats also to Callum Cawley, Castlebaldwin who was part of the Sligo IT team that took first place in the world finals of the Microsoft Imagine Cup.
