4th January 2010 The annual club Mass in memory of deceased club members will be held this Friday evening 8th at 7.30PM in Ballyrush Church. The Bord Ná Nóg AGM takes place this Wednesday 6th in the Clubhouse at 8.30PM. We would appeal to all parents of underage players to attend and get involved in the running of the club – all help, however small is welcome. The Senior Board will have their AGM this Sunday 10th at 5.00PM in the Clubhouse – again we would appeal to all to attend, especially those new to the area who may wish to get involved in GAA activities. The senior team will have their first training session of the year this Saturday – time to be advised later. ‘Stars in Their Eyes’ was postponed due to the weather conditions last weekend and will now take place on Saturday 16th Jan at 8.30PM in Riverstown Hall. The area
lost one of its great Gaels last week with the passing of John Callaghan.
John was Captain of the first team to bring Senior Championship honours
to the parish, the 1949 Sooey team. He will always be remembered fondly
by all involved in GAA in the county. The club
